What about IVF?

The biblical ethics of the IVF issue is a complex and multi-facet subject. From my readings, there appears to be no consensus among biblically orthodox Christian ethicists and theologians on the various issues of regarding the morality of IVF.
It appears that The Catholic Church officially opposes in vitro fertilization.
The Greek Orthodox view appears to be that “Married couples may use medical means to enhance conception of their common children, but the use of semen or ova other than that of the married couple who both take responsibility for their offspring is forbidden.”
Perhaps, the majority view among evangelical Christians is discussed by biblical ethicist and theologian Wayne Grudem, who believes that IVF is permitted “as long as no human embryos are destroyed in the process”. According to Grudem, IVF can be medically conducted without intentional destruction of embryos. Read Grudem’s article here: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/ivf-morally-right
